Established in the Charlotte market in 1977, The Building Center Inc. has evolved into one of the largest privately owned suppliers of lumber and building products in the United States. It is now ranked #29 overall in LBM Journal 2022.
The Building Center utilizes its significant regional presence to procure and distribute branded commodity products at competitive market rates. Inventories are carefully maintained and overseen to cater to the requirements of specific markets, regional building techniques, and metropolitan architectural trends.
This level of readily available products and services includes truss plants in Gastonia, Mebane, NC and custom architectural millwork, and door shops in both the Greensboro and Pineville locations.
